\u201cIf you want to be a slut then be a slut on your own dime not mine.\u201d\u00a0 These were the second to last concluding words of a conversation I just had with an older Christian woman at LaGuardia Airport in New York.\u00a0 Just to be clear, I don\u2019t just walk around talking to random people about the Hobby Lobby case.\u00a0 I was praying and I think the woman thought that I would be someone she could easily commiserate with about the recent Supreme Court ruling.\u00a0 From the moment we started talking, it was clear that we disagreed.\u00a0 The interesting piece of the conversation was that we both kept referring to Jesus as our voices rose and fell.\u00a0 We were debating with Jesus.\u00a0 Eventually, I got so frustrated with the woman for her failure to see the slippery slope this decision could take our nation down that I packed up my things and walked away.\u00a0 I didn\u2019t think it could get much worse after the slut comment and then the Christian woman offered, \u201c\u2026and I hope you find the real Jesus too.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
I left the conversation convinced that I had just encountered the demonic.\u00a0 I was more than angry.\u00a0\u00a0 I was embarrassed and felt that an injustice had taken place.\u00a0 I believed that this woman was slandering the very Jesus that I serve.\u00a0 I had deep hate in my heart.\u00a0 I knew without a doubt that this woman was my enemy\u2026and then in a vision she came to me again saying\u2026\u201dlove your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them that despitefully use you, and persecute you.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u00a0<\/p>\n
The danger of debating with Jesus is that he might actually show up.\u00a0 You see I had a vision of the incarnated Christ at LaGuardia and she was an older Christian woman with a hateful tongue.\u00a0 If I am to follow Jesus\u2026I will need to love and bless her.<\/p>\n
