In case you haven\u2019t seen this yet, there\u2019s some serious controversy over in Charlotte<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Links at the bottom of the news article also link to the diocesan newspaperI have spoken on the telephone with Bishop Jugis\u2019s administrative assistant, and the first thing she said to me (she actually returned my earlier phone call) was that it was so nice to hear some SUPPORT and something POSITIVE for the Bishop in the midst of this controversy.\n

Would you please commit to pray for Bishop Jugis as he prepares for this upcoming parent meeting? He\u2019s a good man, a faithful shepherd. You can bet your bottom dollar there will be a lot of dissenters present who have no connection with the school. You can bet your bottom dollar that the spirit of the meeting won\u2019t be congenial on the dissenters\u2019 side. \u00a0Bishop Jugis will be facing some willful ignorance and more than a little bit of hostility.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

If you feel so moved, contact the Charlotte Diocese and perhaps the school to pledge your moral and prayerful support of orthodox Catholic moral teaching?<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

This is not a discrimination case<\/strong>.\u00a0 No jobs are at stake, no employee is being fired, none of that.\u00a0 A Catholic religious sister is invited to speak at a Catholic school, and she shows up and teaches the Catholic faith<\/a>.<\/em>\u00a0 And students are upset about this.<\/p>\n

It\u2019s just weird.\u00a0 Weird.\u00a0 Tip of the day: Do not be alarmed when people who practice a particular religion actually believe and speak about what their faith teaches<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

They might be wrong.\u00a0 Statistically speaking, they probably are wrong.\u00a0 (In this case, she\u2019s not, but then of course I\u2019d say that.)<\/p>\n

God bless the students who have their heads on straight:<\/p>\n

\u201cwe the students of Charlotte Catholic High School, acting on our Catholic beliefs, are declaring a formal objection towards all those who do not accept Sister Jane Dominic\u2019s lecture \u2026 We are outraged that the topics talked about are being debated within a community where the shared faith teaches us what truly is holy and that anyone would stand up against a nun, who has given her life for the Lord, and blatantly deny God\u2019s teachings.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

If you\u2019re gonna be Catholic, be Catholic.<\/p>\n

And if you\u2019re gonna be Catholic, pray for Bishop Jugis.<\/p>\n
