I got a note from Bryan Murdaugh<\/a> this morning about my freshly-pressed column up at New Evangelizers<\/a>, I am totally publishing it. \u00a0You would, too, you know you would.<\/p>\n

Your article made its way into my inbox this morning, and once again, bravo! You have such an amazing way of bringing practical truths into the lens of things important for the faithful. It reminds me of who-knows-how-many-million young people (and their accompanying adults) I have reminded that Sunday Mass is important enough that even a vacation doesn\u2019t warrant skipping it.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

See? \u00a0I should add right now that not only does Bryan have impeccable in taste in Catholic evangelization-blogging,\u00a0if you need your massive, my-business-depends-on-this website overhauled, and some videos made, too, he\u2019s your guy<\/a>.<\/p>\n

But what did you write about, Jennifer? \u00a0I can\u2019t click through until I KNOW!!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Well, I start off with cats. \u00a0You might want to skip the first paragraph if you\u2019re squeamish:<\/p>\n

For the last twenty years I\u2019ve kept a working cat around the house . . .<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Just kidding. \u00a0I do talk about the un-dead things cats drag in, but there are no graphic descriptions. \u00a0Just helping you relate. \u00a0To the harrowing lives of small, tormented lizards.<\/p>\n

Why lizards? \u00a0When you usually don\u2019t have very much in common with tortured reptiles, or rodents? \u00a0Because this:<\/p>\n

Sometimes I show up at Sunday Mass looking like that half-dead thing. If you\u2019re doing it right, sooner or later you will, too.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

But Jennifer, Jennifer! We\u2019re supposed to look fabulous for Mass!<\/strong><\/p>\n

I mention that. \u00a0I even share glimpses of the extraordinary planning it takes to pull that off if you have small children or other lifestyle challenges. \u00a0But you should come to Mass even on sub-fabulous Sundays:<\/p>\n

\n

But here\u2019s the secret about the Sunday Obligation: God doesn\u2019t want you skipping Mass just because you aren\u2019t picture-perfect.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

And then I explain why. \u00a0And that\u2019s the important bit you\u2019ll want to go over to NE and read right now<\/a>.<\/p>\n
