Update & thanks to the many people who have prayed for me this spring: We may have a solution.\u00a0\u00a0 Saw Dr. Maybe on Friday for assorted testing, after which he proposed a trial run of a new prescription.\u00a0 Results so far: Astonishingly effective.<\/p>\n

We still need to figure out dosages, side effects, see how it goes over the long haul, etc. etc., not to mention the inevitable rehab.\u00a0 But it is, at least, a very strong start.<\/p>\n

Memorial Day.<\/h4>\n

If you are reading this early in the day on Monday, it is not too late for you to hunt around for a daily Mass<\/a>.\u00a0 The nice thing about Mass is that Heaven opens up right there in the room with you, so no inconvenient traveling half the globe to get yourself to the cemetery where your departed soldier is interred.\u00a0 Far be it from me to discourage such travels, but sometimes the nearby parish Mass is a little more obtainable.<\/p>\n

PSA: You don\u2019t have to be Catholic to attend.<\/p>\n

And am I the only one who can\u2019t sing America the Beautiful<\/a> without tearing up?<\/p>\n

A well-balanced patriotic upbringing is maybe not the most important thing, but it sure is good to have had.<\/p>\n
