Many of us in the emerging movement are seeking to build bridges to the Christian past \u2014 to each of the three major forms: the Protestant Reformation, the Roman Catholic Church, and Eastern Orthodoxy. But, there is \u201cgive and<\/em> take\u201d: that is, as we learn from each of these great traditions of the Church, we expect them to learn from the Protestant evangelical tradition as well.
