\n2. Spring trips are used by most colleges as an opportunity for the sports teams to get ahead for the season: NPU\u2019s track and field <\/a>teams are combining competition with service. Good for them!

I have been a huge fan of George Marsden since the early 80s when I read his book on fundamentalism and on the history of Fuller, and so I heartily recommend his new piece on how fundamentalists became so politically involved<\/a>. Marsden mentions a southern evangelist named \u201cFighting\u201d Bob Shuler, and I wonder if he means \u201cPhil\u201d Shuler. Does anyone know?
