Here\u2019s the prayer for the week in The Divine Hours<\/em>, which is taken from The Book of Common Prayer<\/em>:<\/p>\n

O God, who by the glorious resurrection of your Son Jesus Christ destroyed death and brought life and immortality to light: Grant that I, who have been raised with him, may abide in his presence and rejoice in the hope of eternal glory; through Jesus Christ my Lord, to whom, with you and the Holy Spirit, be dominion and praise for ever and ever. Amen. \u00e2\u20ac <\/p><\/blockquote>\n
Notice the theological foundation of this prayer: the \u201cglorious resurrection\u201d of the Son of God who \u201cdestroyed death\u201d and \u201cbrought life and immortality to light.\u201d
\nNotice the implication: co-resurrection empowers us to \u201cabide in his presence\u201d and \u201crejoice in the hope of eternal glory.\u201d
\nNotice that it is all \u201cthrough Jesus Christ our Lord.\u201d
