\nThe sermon finished with all the women standing and reciting the ending to Lynne Hybels\u2019 book, Nice Girls Don\u2019t Change the World<\/em>, in which she calls women to become \u201cdangerous\u201d women \u2014 women who show up with everything they\u2019ve got and are and who join the battle against whatever opposes the will of God. Just in case you\u2019d like to know, \u201cdangerous\u201d contrasts with \u201cnice\u201d and \u201cnice\u201d means happy little girls who do not accomplish all God has designed for them. Here\u2019s a sampling from her book:
\nMay we be dangerous women.
\nMay we be women who acknowledge our power to change, and grow, and be radically alive for God.
\nMay we cherish children, embrace the elderly, and empower the poor.
\nMay we be strong and gentle leaders.
\nMay we overflow with goodness in the name of God and by the power of Jesus. And in that name, and by that power, may we change the world.
