This guy, Keith Jurow<\/a><\/strong>, says a big loud NO!<\/p>\n

Bill McBride is a very credible economic analyst whom I respect.\u00a0 But he is dead wrong in predicting that the housing market is bottoming.\u00a0 Here is why.<\/p>\n

I will not discuss the first part of his claim \u2013 about housing starts \u2013 because I do not care about that at all.\u00a0 Only economists and Bill think that this is important.<\/p>\n

I will focus on prices in major metro housing markets.\u00a0 That is what you really care about, isn\u2019t it?\u2026<\/p>\n

Housing analysts have been confidently predicting a bottom for the housing market for the last three years and they have been totally wrong.\u00a0 Anyone who acted on their advice and purchased a home has taken a beating.\u00a0 The clamor about a bottom finally arriving this year is just as loud and will be just as wrong.Those of you who have an interest in your local housing market \u2013 either as a prospective buyer, seller, or just a homeowner worried about how low the value of your house might go \u2013 need to disregard this nonsense about a bottom arriving now.\u00a0 There is\u00a0no\u00a0housing bottom in sight.<\/p>\n
