\nMake haste, my beloved,
\nand be like a gazelle
\nor a young stag
\nupon the mountains of spices! (8:14)
\nThe \u201cmountains of spices\u201d are either her \u2014 or perhaps only her breasts (cf. 4:6, 13-14). As he asked to hear her voice, she asks him to come to bed.
\nShe may well be telling him to abandon the allure of the Solomonic court with all the women and come to her, to her alone.
