As you know, Kris and I are practitioners of fixed-hour prayer, what I call \u201csacred rhythms<\/a>.\u201d And you may recall that we practice mostly with Phyllis Tickle\u2019s The Divine Hours<\/a><\/em>. Which, owing to the weight and size of the volumes, creates a problem when we travel. Until now.
\nWhen Kris and I travel we generally take either The Little Book of Hours<\/em> or, more often, The Glenstal Book of Prayer<\/em>. These are smaller books, easier to travel with, and create some variety in our prayer practices on the road. But, now Phyllis has edited a one-week edition of prayers: The Divine Hours \u2014 Pocket Edition<\/a><\/em>. This pocket edition has a handsome dustjacket, and a full week of prayers \u2014 for all seven hours.
\nKris read this one this Tuesday morning and liked it. I thought I\u2019d include it here:
