When God\u2019s mighty Spirit comes upon us we will be awakened in our love for God. In many ways, then, the ancient Shema<\/em> of Israel, found in Deut 6:4-5, points us toward Pentecost. The summons God gave Israel was to love God with every facet of our being, or what a friend of mine called \u201cevery globule.\u201d We are to love God with:
\nOur heart: affections, center of our being
\nOur soul: life and spirituality
\nOur mind: thoughts
\nOur strength: our resources. One could say here \u201cWith Everything!\u201d
