Charlie Strong expectations:<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Players will attend all of their classes and sit in the front two rows of all of their classes. \u00a0GAs, academic folks, position coaches will be checking constantly now.<\/li>\n
  2. No headphones in class. \u00a0No texting in class. \u00a0Sit up and take notes.<\/li>\n
  3. If a player misses a class, he runs until it hurts. \u00a0If he misses two classes, his entire position unit runs. \u00a0If he misses three, the position coach runs. \u00a0The position coaches don\u2019t want to run.<\/li>\n
  4. No earrings in the football building. \u00a0No drugs. \u00a0No stealing. \u00a0No guns. \u00a0Treat women with respect.<\/li>\n
  5. Players may not live off campus anymore, unless they\u2019re a senior who hits certain academic standards. The University will buy out the leases for every player currently living off campus and put them in the athletic dorm.<\/li>\n
  6. The team will all live together, eat together, suffer together, and hang out together. \u00a0They will become a true team and learn to impose accountability on each other. \u00a0The cliques are over.<\/li>\n
  7. There\u2019s no time for a rebuild. \u00a0\u201cI don\u2019t have time for that.\u201d \u00a0The expectation is that Texas wins now.<\/li>\n
  8. Players will learn that they would rather practice than milk a minor injury.<\/li>\n
  9. The focus is on winning and graduating. \u00a0Anything extraneous to that is a distraction and will be stamped out or removed.<\/li>\n
  10. Strong met individually with seniors and key leaders and re-emphasized that the plan is to win now. They can lead the new culture or be run over by it.<\/li>\n
  11. \u201cI don\u2019t want to talk about things. \u00a0I\u2019d rather do things. \u00a0We just talked. \u00a0Now it\u2019s time to do.\u201d<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/blockquote>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
