Antwaan Randle El says he regrets playing football, in part because the 36-year-old now has difficulty walking down the stairs.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have to come down sideways sometimes, depending on the day,\u201d Randle El said in a\u00a0Pittsburgh Post-Gazette<\/a>\u00a0story on former\u00a0Steelers<\/a>\u00a0Super Bowl winners. \u201cGoing up is easier actually than coming down.\u201d<\/p>\n

In a follow-up interview\u00a0with \u201cThe Dan Patrick Show\u201d on Wednesday<\/a>, Randle El clarified that while he has pain on stairs, he wanted people to know he wasn\u2019t near death as he feared has been portrayed after the story.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you\u2019re playing this game of football you have to know what you\u2019re getting yourself into.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s real, it is what it is, but I got to preface a couple of things I want people to realize. I\u2019m in no way dying, keeling over, struggling to get around, anything like that,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
