February 3, 2016 Year C<\/p>\n
Psalm 56:1-13<\/p>\n
People may be against me, just as some people were during David\u2019s reign. They may be arrogant and fight against my efforts (Psalm 56:1-2). During this times, I may feel fear (Psalm 56:3). They may twist my words (Psalm 56:5), stir up strife (Psalm 56:6), and make me feel like they will evade punishment for their sin (Psalm 56:7). Part of me will want vindication.<\/p>\n
God knows me. He has recorded my steps (Psalm 56:8). He is the only One I can trust (Psalm 56:4). God knows all of my tears(Psalm 56:8). The truth is that God is for me (Psalm 56:9). His words are truthful and trustworthy(Psalm 56:10-11). This is a comforting thought during times of difficulty.<\/p>\n
God delivers me from death (Psalm 56:12). He will guide my steps in this life. He will light the way for me (Psalm 56:13). Because of His past trustworthiness, I can look forward to God leading me and helping me in the future. God is bigger than my circumstances. He is larger than my enemies. He is looking out for me, even when it seems like no one else is. I can trust God like no one else (Psalm 54:4, 11) because God is for me.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
