Godly Knowledge, Wisdom and Understanding<\/h2>\n

May 20, 2016 Year C<\/a><\/p>\n

Proverbs<\/a> 3:19-26<\/p>\n

God<\/a> used knowledge, wisdom and understanding to create the heavens and the earth (Proverbs 3:19, Genesis 1:1-2). God used His brain (if God were to have a brain) to create. His knowledge was used to make the rains occur (Proverbs 3:20).<\/p>\n

God used wisdom, knowledge, and understanding to create the universe and everything in it. In the same way, God expects us to use our knowledge, wisdom, and understanding in life.<\/p>\n

Our knowledge, wisdom, and understanding come through life experiences. Our life experiences teach us competence and we learn the wisdom of discretion (Proverbs 3:21). Here in Proverbs, the Bible lists the results of following that Godly knowledge, wisdom, and understanding.<\/p>\n

FIVE RESULTS OF FOLLOWING GODLY KNOWLEDGE, WISDOM, AND UNDERSTANDING<\/p>\n

    \n
  1. Life (Proverbs 3:22)<\/li>\n
  2. Health (Proverbs 3:23)<\/li>\n
  3. Safety (Proverbs 3:23-24)<\/li>\n
  4. Protection (Proverbs 3:25)<\/li>\n
  5. Confidence (Proverbs 3:26)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    As we read God\u2019s Word \u2013 especially in Proverbs, He can provide all of these important results: life, health, safety, protection, and confidence. God uses His Word to teach us about His knowledge, His wisdom, and His understanding. God wants us to trust Him, not just our knowledge, wisdom, and understanding. He promises that when we trust Him, our life will be better. He has lived long before we were created and He will be there for us long after this world ends. His experience is much larger than mine. Because God\u2019s experiences have a much longer life than mine, He can provide what I need.<\/p>\n

    The same knowledge, wisdom, and understanding that God used to create the world, He can use to help me live life well.<\/p>\n
