\u200e\u201dIf you\u2019re ever wondering, \u2018If I have thinner thighs and shinier hair will I be happier?\u2019 you just need to meet a group of models because they have the thinnest thighs and the shiniest hair and the coolest clothes and they are the most physically insecure women on the planet.\u201d<\/p>\n

So says Victoria\u2019s Secret model Cameron Russell in her heartbreakingly honest talk about the superficiality\u2014and the importance\u2014of physical appearance in our society.<\/p>\n

<\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Shallow, ignorant men are certainly part of the problem, but the majority of the blame lies with women. Women judging women is the primary cause of our culture of insecurity.<\/p>\n<p>This has to stop. I implore my sisters in Christ to take the lead in breaking this cycle and healing the damage that has been caused. If we work together now to change the culture we can save future generations of American women from debilitating body image issues. Girls should grow up believing they\u2019ll be judged on the content of their character, not on the thinness of their
