After last night\u2019s blog about the need to maintain spiritual practice especially during difficult times, I have to post this.<\/p>\n

In addition to my rather brief evening prayers, I did a little energy work last night. Ground, center, connect with the Earth below and the Sky above. Draw in energy, store some, use most of it on a basic shielding exercise. I use a version taught by OBOD<\/a>, but it\u2019s the same basic technique used by just about every Pagan, Wiccan, or Western Mystery Tradition practitioner I\u2019ve come across. I went to bed feeling\u2026 safe.<\/p>\n

I had two meetings today I was dreading (and I quit dreading meetings a long time ago) \u2013 both with people I expected to rant and rave about the general state of affairs. But the first was very professional and the second was almost friendly (almost). <\/p>\n

Now, I was prepared (in the mundane sense of the term) for both meetings \u2013 I had my stuff together. But I\u2019ve had my stuff together lots of times recently and still had people fly off the handle. Maybe I just caught these people on a good day, or maybe they\u2019re tired of yelling, or maybe they realized all the ranting hadn\u2019t made things better so they\u2019d try something else. Maybe.<\/p>\n

Or maybe, the magic worked.<\/p>\n
