When I interviewed\u00a0Mike Weaver, from Big Daddy Weave<\/span><\/a> I felt like I was catching up with an old friend; his warmth and passion for the Lord\u00a0captivated the listener.\u00a0<\/span>Big Daddy Weave is set to release\u00a0their seventh studio album,\u00a0Beautiful Offerings<\/span><\/a><\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>on September 18th.<\/p>\n

Can you tell me a little bit about the new album?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

MW<\/strong>: It\u2019s been four years since we released our last album,\u00a0Love Come To Life<\/span><\/a>.<\/strong><\/em>\u00a0<\/strong>God did so much with our last album, including four consecutive No. 1 singles from the album. The real treasure of the last album was hearing all the stories of the song Redeemed<\/span><\/a><\/em>. The song spent 11 weeks at No. 1, was dubbed \u201cSong of the Year\u201d at the first annual K-LOVE Fan Awards and garnered Dove Award and Billboard\u00a0<\/em>Music Award nominations. More than any of the accolades the band\u00a0has achieved, it\u2019s the stories of how the songs have impacted the lives of others that keeps us going. No one in Big Daddy Weave is impressed with Big Daddy Weave, if there\u2019s any good that comes from our music, it\u2019s all because of God. Our new album picks up where the last album stopped.<\/span><\/p>\n

How is\u00a0<\/span>Beautiful Offerings<\/em>\u00a0<\/span>a complement to your\u00a0previous\u00a0album<\/span>?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

MW<\/strong>: Many people we were encountering were saying, \u201cThank God, I am redeemed,\u201d but then going right back into their sin. We wanted to bring light on that with\u00a0Beautiful<\/strong> Offerings<\/strong><\/em>. We\u2019re not only redeemed from sin, and redeemed to something. That \u201csomething\u201d is to allow our lives to be an offering to God. It\u2019s not about who we\u2019re not, it\u2019s about who we are. It\u2019s a realization that because we\u2019re children of God, our entire life becomes an offering to God, by the way we live.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cEvery trial, and greatest gain. Every failure and darkest stain. Every moment, of all these years. I give it all to you. Make me a beautiful offering to you.<\/em><\/span><\/h3>\n

What Would You Tell The Next Generation?<\/strong><\/span><\/h2>\n

MW:\u00a0<\/strong>God loves you so much, and He invites you into an intimate relationship with Him. It\u2019s not simply about a book knowledge of God, but about getting to know Him on a deep and personal level. People are hungry for their deepest needs to be met, and I want the next generation to know that they can experience ultimate peace, joy, love and healing in a relationship with God.<\/span><\/p>\n

Big Daddy Weave has been through their share of sufferings, what encouragement do you have for people going through trials?<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n

MW:\u00a0<\/strong>I think it\u2019s important to remember the words of Jesus in John 16:33,\u00a0\u201cIn the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I\u00a0have\u00a0overcome the world.\u201d\u00a0<\/em>Jesus was right, we will have tribulation, but our greatest hope is that Christ has overcome the world. As believers, we have the same power that raised Jesus from the dead living inside of us. In the middle of my troubles, I cry out, \u201cGod, help me!\u201d, and then thank Him for His provision. I think it\u2019s so important to cry out for God\u2019s help, but remember to thank Him for His presence and deliverance in our lives.<\/span><\/p>\n
