\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The craftsmanship is stunning<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\nThere\u2019s comfort in every nook<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And just off the Tennessee Reading room is a front porch replete with rockers<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>But my favorite part was<\/p>\n

\n<\/p>

\"\"<\/a>story hour \u00a0in the Children\u2019s Library<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There was even dancing<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\nWell, I just loved it. Everything about it. When a community invests in its library it\u2019s making a statement about what it wants to be recognized for \u2014 books, art, music.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The fun continued up the road in Lebanon where Brent was preparing bananna, peanut butter and honey sandwiches \u2014 grilled, Elvis style.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>And Maggie was literally climbing the walls<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\nWhile Anna & Jack showed off their hula skills<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Jack did read us one of my favorite stories<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There was even brief history & geography lessons from the girls<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And lunch with the entire crew<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

After lunch and cups of Barista Brent\u2019s brew<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>
\nThere was a trip out back to see the playhouse Brent is building, but then we said goodbye. \u00a0There was one more stop to make.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

Sweet Miz Campbell. \u201cI don\u2019t believe I would have recognized you,\u201d she said. \u00a0Since I last saw her, Miz Campbell lost her husband and her son. In fact, she\u2019s outlived all three of her children. \u201cHe was never sick a day in his life,\u201d Miz Campbell said of her son Richard, who died recently of a massive heart attack. \u00a0\u201cMy mind ain\u2019t much,\u201d she added, \u201cbut I\u2019d like to keep what little I got.\u201d \u00a0She\u2019s sharp enough to tell me the steps to making her famous fried apple pies: \u201cI make a biscuit dough and roll it out to the thickness I want. I use self-rising flour. I cut me a square about yea-big. I put me a cup of dried apples, seasoned with sugar and cinnamon. Then I fold it over. Some people use a fork to squeeze it off but I always use my hands. Get the grease real hot. I just use Crisco and fry them up in a Teflon pan.\u201d<\/p>\n

Miz Campbell told me one more thing: \u201cI haven\u2019t put my teeth in since the last time you was here. My granddaughter told me to be sure and wear my teeth when you came to visit.\u201d<\/p>\n
