I took a ride out to the country yesterday. I\u2019ve been working hard finishing up a manuscript. (YAY!!!)<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The thing about writing is that it\u2019s such a solitary activity \u2014 kind of like farming.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The other thing about writing is that you have to sit still to do it. When I\u2019ve finished a book, I need<\/p>\n

to let the wind blow through my hair. I need to smell the sun. I need to move.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

So when Simply Darlene<\/a> (aka A Simple Country Girl) \u00a0invited me out for lunch, I accepted her gracious invite.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

I found the right road but figured I had the wrong house.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

The Simple Country Girl lives by her title.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

There are good books, good food, and lazy dogs.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/p>\n

And the sweetness that comes from swapping stories, which is a totally different way to spend a day than writing them. There\u2019s nothing like a day in the country to clear a girl\u2019s head.<\/p>\n
