TV executives like to say that their business isn\u2019t driven by ideology but instead by money. If that were entirely true, then there\u2019d probably be a sequel to, or a reimagining of, the long-running (1971-1981) CBS family drama \u201cThe Waltons\u201d \u2014 which centered on a rural Virginia clan during the Great Depression and World War II \u2014 but there isn\u2019t.<\/p>\n

And there isn\u2019t likely to be, at least on broadcast TV. More on that in the next post,<\/a> but for now, fans and those wanting to learn more about the show can tune into the Monday, Aug. 3, edition of Hallmark Channel\u2019s daily magazine show, \u201cHome & Family,\u201d <\/a>which airs weekdays at 10 a.m. (ET\/PT).<\/p>\n
