Pope Francis hates paperwork\u2013and so do I! \u00a0<\/strong>There, I\u2019ve said it!<\/p>\n

Coupons and junk mail,<\/strong> charitable requests, newspapers, recipe cards, tattered photos, invitations, memos and correspondence, stacks of books and press releases, newspaper clippings for my \u201cidea\u201d file\u2026. \u00a0My desk is a mess. \u00a0So is my kitchen counter. \u00a0So is my bedside table.<\/p>\n

But today I enjoy a respite from guilt,<\/strong> after learning that Pope Francis doesn\u2019t like the busywork either.<\/p>\n

The Catholic Herald<\/em> <\/a>reported today about the pope\u2019s dislike for the minutiae of his job. \u00a0Asked \u201cWhat\u2019s the thing you like least about your mission as Pope?\u201d,<\/em> he frankly admitted:<\/p>\n

\u201cPaperwork, office work. \u00a0It\u2019s the thing I always struggled with.\u201d<\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Albert Einstein is reported to have said, \u201cIf a cluttered desk is a sign of a cluttered mind, of what, then, is an empty desk a sign?\u201d \u00a0<\/em>I don\u2019t think I\u2019ll ever find out.<\/p>\n
