\"\"<\/a>Amid little fanfare,<\/strong> yesterday in the Dag Hammarskj\u00f6ld Auditorium at the United Nations headquarters in New York, a new document was released to the world.\u00a0 Called the San Jose Articles<\/strong>, the nine-part document has already been called \u201cthe most important pro-life\u00a0document of our time.\u201d<\/p>\n

The San Jose Articles<\/strong> begin simply, strongly, effectively:<\/p>\n

\u00a0As a matter of scientific fact, a new human life begins at conception.<\/strong><\/span><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

U.N. officials and liberal American intellectuals<\/strong> have, in recent years, repeatedly told foreign governments that they must, under international law, liberalize their abortion laws.\u00a0 The CEDAW Committee (Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women), which provides oversight for the international committee on women\u2019s rights, has interpreted some international documents to include abortion as a \u201cright.\u201d \u00a0Just recently, the U.N. Special Rapporteur on Health issued a report to the Secretary General asserting that such a right exists under the \u201cright to health.\u201d<\/p>\n

Many governments\u2014particularly those in nations which are dependent on international aid\u2014have been swayed by the U.N.\u2019s political pressure to relax protections for the unborn.<\/p>\n
