\"\"<\/a>Back in May 2012, when the new faith-based on-line game Journey of Jesus<\/span><\/em><\/strong> launched on Facebook, I interviewed \u201cgame developer and evangelist\u201d Brent Dusing<\/strong><\/a> about his goal for the game.<\/p>\n

Dusing <\/strong>explained that the company\u2019s threefold goal<\/strong> is to create games which
\n(1) are fun to play,
\n(2) utilize high quality graphics and music, and
\n(3) are faithful to biblical truth.<\/p>\n

When the first social networking game on the life of Jesus was<\/strong> introduced<\/strong> in May, players could choose from English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and German versions.\u00a0 Now, just three months after Lightside Games launched Journey of Jesus:\u00a0 The Calling<\/span><\/em><\/strong>, more than 1 million fans are playing, and the game can be played in four more languages (Turkish, Indonesian, Russian and Tagalog).<\/p>\n

And the game\u2019s popularity transcends faith<\/strong> lines<\/strong> to reach players who may know little about traditional Christianity.\u00a0 While theUnited States claims the top spot with 155 million users,Turkey is in third place, with 30.8 million people on the site.<\/p>\n

Dusing credits his success, in part, to people\u2019s curiosity about Christ.<\/strong>\u00a0 \u201cPeople from all different nations and creeds want to know more about Him,\u201d<\/em> Dusing explains.\u00a0 \u201cJourney of Jesus<\/span><\/strong> is a way for people to have fun and explore answers to questions they have about Jesus and His claims to be God.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n
