[The following is a portion of a chapter in a book manuscript I intend to publish in my Still Here book series on biblical eschatology. I believe some UFO sightings–probably hundreds worldwide in the past two generations–have been unnatural phenomena attributable to angels (cf. Daniel 4.13, 17, 23; Hebrews 1.14; 1 Peter 1.12).] Project Blue Book Many UFO sightings were reported in the U.S. during the years soon following 1947. Perhaps the most well known occurred during two successive weekends... Read more

I believe some UFO sightings–probably hundreds worldwide in the past two generations–have been unnatural phenomena attributable to angels (cf. Daniel 4.13, 17, 23; Hebrews 1.14; 1 Peter 1.12).] Introduction Unidentified flying objects (UFOs) have been reported from time immemorial, thus dating back to antiquity. But from the mid-twentieth century to now, there has been a... Read more

Ian Poulter just now defeated Beau Hossler in the first extra hole of sudden death to win the Houston Open at the Golf Club of Houston in Humble, Texas. It was the 42-year old Englishman’s return to the winner’s circle in the U.S. after six years. Hossler turned pro in 2016 and was seeking his first PGA Tour win. Poulter kept alive his reputation for grit in the clutch, especially with his putter. On the 485-yard, par-four, 18th hole today–the... Read more

I sometimes watch “The David Rubenstein Show: Peer to Peer Conversations” on Bloomsberg television. I like to watch it. The show is about Rubenstein interviewing the most influential people in business, especially those who become philanthropists. Today, Rubenstein interviewed Phil Knight, co-founder of Nike, Inc. He certainly fits the program’s parameters as a successful businessman and philanthropist. Hats off to Phil Knight. Nike is the wildly successful athletic shoe company headquartered in Beaverton, Oregon, near Portland. Phil Knight was talking... Read more

Joseph C. Dey Jr. became the PGA Tour’s first commissioner, in 1969. He directed it for the next five years. Mr. Dey was a much respected man in the game of golf. Nevertheless, Joe was like Jesus–a good guy who had a few enemies. I think most of this animosity was not personally directed against him. For a few Touring pro golfers, Mr. Dey came to work for the PGA Tour with one bad swing. This no doubt will come... Read more

In an eighteen-hole finals match, he soundly defeated Kevin Kisner 7 and 6, meaning seven down with six holes to play. Bubba had gotten off to a blazing start, winning six of the first seven holes. With Kisner struggling with his game and luck, the outcome soon became a foregone conclusion. It was Bubba’s eleventh win on the PGA Tour. And this is the only... Read more

In the USA, polygamy has always been illegal. But then, homosexuality was illegal not long ago. Now, homosexuality is not only legal but well accepted by most Americans. Plus, gay rights are strongly defended in the courts. It’s all about human rights, a movement that continues to grow in the U.S. In fact, this nation has been the supreme leader in the world in affirming human rights. They are enshrined in the Bill of Rights which are an addendum to... Read more

They say “the gloves are off” now between former heads of our U.S. intelligence community and President Donald Trump. The president has been constantly bashing his own intelligence agencies all during his presidency, accusing them of lies and being a part of “deep state.” I think what little proof the president offers to support such allegations is very lame. I also think such allegations are an effort to obstruct justice by getting the Mueller investigation shut down. Such behavior makes... Read more
