$\"\"$ <\/a>U.S. President Donald Trump and his former Ambassador to the the UN, Niki Haley, are fueling anti-Semitism by their deeds and words. During only three years in office, President Trump has done three things that he believes have been in the best interests of the State of Israel: (1) moved the U.S. embassy to Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem, (2) recognized Israel\u2019s annexation of the Golan Heights way back in 1981, and (3) allowed his Secretary of State Mike Pompeo to recently declare that if Israel unilaterally annexes much of the West Bank, as Israel\u2019s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he will do if reelected. In doing all of this, Trump went against decades-old U.S. policy. The U.S. had agreed with Palestinians and the international community that all three of these issues should have been relegated to an overall solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I indicated my agreement with all of this U.S. policy nearly thirty years ago in my book Palestine Is Coming: The Revival of Ancient Philistia<\/em><\/a> (1990).<\/p>\n

Trump spoke yesterday at theIsraeli American Council National Summit in Hollywood, Florida. He bragged, \u201cThe Jewish state has never had a better friend in the White House than your president, Donald J. Trump.\u201d I disagree. It is in the best interests of the State of Israel for there to be a Palestinian state, and Trump has sided with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu in opposing any peace plan that might make that happen.<\/p>\n

Trump also said in this speech, \u201cWe have to get the people of our country, of this country, to love Israel more, I have to tell you that. We have to do it. We have to get them to love Israel more.\u201d Trump also said there are a lot of non-Israeli Jews, hinting that they include American Jews, who are not as sympathetic to Israel as they should be. He said, \u201cBecause you have Jewish people that are great people \u2014 they don\u2019t love Israel enough.\u201d<\/p>\n

Yeah, and they have good reason. They believe the Israeli leadership, starting with Netanyahu as prime minister, is not acting in global Jews\u2019 best interests in the manner in which he governs Israel and thereby fueling anti-Semitism in the world.<\/p>\n

$\"\"$ <\/a>Niki Haley, former South Carolina governor and UN ambassador, appears to be trying to position herself to make a run for the U.S. presidency in 2024. Thus, she continues to speak out on international affairs such as the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. On this issue, she adopts about the same position that Trump does. All of this is fueling anti-Semitism in the world. They think they are operating in Israel\u2019s best interests, yet they are doing the exact opposite and fueling anti-Semitism in the world.<\/p>\n

It is in the best interests of Israel for there to be a Palestinian state. The reasoning behind this axiom is very simple, and it is in the Torah which Israel\u2019s forefathers gave to the world: \u201cyou shall love your neighbor as yourself\u201d (Leviticus 19.18). If Jews are legitimately entitled to their own nation and thus land, then Palestinians are too. The main question is where? That\u2019s what my book is all about.<\/p>\n

At the UN Watch Gala in New York City on Thursday, Haley therefore condemned Canada\u2019s recent decision to join the majority of UN member nations in voting for a new UN resolution affirming the Palestinian right to self-determination. She said in doing so, Canada \u201cmade a deal with the devil.\u201d She also accused Canada of doing this in an effort to get a seat on the 15-member UN Security Council.<\/p>\n

Haley further described the UN Security Council as a \u201cculture of bullies.\u201d Wow! She worked for that bully in the White House who I think is the king of all bullies in the free world.<\/p>\n

Haley also criticized members of the UN Human Rights Council as hypocrites. That may be, but Southerner Haley appeared hypocritical herself when she said Friday, a day later, on Glenn Beck\u2019s radio program that the Confederate flag symbolized \u201cservice, sacrifice, and heritage.\u201d It also symbolized about the worst of all human rights abuses\u2013slavery.<\/p>\n
