During the COVID-19 pandemic, Dr. Anthony Fauci\u2014the longtime director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in the U.S.\u2014became the chief medical advisor to the White House and thus the face of the pandemic to the public. It was the worst health crisis the U.S. had had since the Spanish Flu in WWI.<\/p>\n

Politically right wing America, influenced especially by television\u2019s Fox News, which was biased toward the Republican Party, constantly attacked Dr. Fauci for his advice on how to reduce the reduce the risk of contracting COVID-19. Many of these refused to abide by our health professionals\u2019 recommended restrictions, such as wearing masks in public and practicing social distancing. These rebels viewed Fauci as diabolical even though he was mostly recommending what the nation\u2019s premiere, science-based, health organization was recommending, which was the CDC\u2014Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. As I observed this rejection to our nation\u2019s foremost health professionals, I thought, \u201cWho would want to be public health servant if they had to endure this garbage?\u201d<\/p>\n

Anthony Fauci retired in 2022 to write a book recounting his career, which focuses considerably on the pandemic. Entitled On Call: A Doctor\u2019s Journey in Public Service<\/em>, it will be released next week. In this book, Dr. Fauci reveals his several encounters with President Donald Trump regarding the pandemic. During the early months after COVID-19 was discovered, Republican President Trump failed miserably in his reaction to it, saying it was nothing to be concerned about and would soon disappear \u201clike a miracle.\u201d Eventually, he succeeded with Operation Warp Speed that produced a COVID vaccine in lightning speed which became very effective in reducing the risk of contracting COVID by increasing immunity to it. Yet it was mostly a large contingent of Trump\u2019s electoral base of Republican voters who dismissed the vaccine shot and refused to take it.<\/p>\n

Fauci relates in the book that he had made a public statement about the COVID shot, that the immunity that it provides only lasts six months. Of course, he was merely informing the public what the CDC was saying, and its pronouncements were based on all of its scientific data gathered by so many health professionals. Fauci further relates in his book that right after he made this public statement, President Trump phoned him and \u201cstarted screaming at me,\u201d obviously angry that Fauci would tell the American public the truth about a deadly disease and this vaccine for it.<\/p>\n

Fauci also relates in this book the last time President Trump phoned him. Trump was on the presidential airplane Air Force One. It was on November 1, 2020, only two days before the presidential election which Trump lost to Joe Biden. Fauci says Trump went into a tirade laced with constant profanity using the F-word. Fauci quotes Trump as saying concerning the upcoming election, \u201cI am going to win this election by a f\u2014\u2014 landslide. Just wait and see. I always did things my way. And I always win, no matter what all these other f\u2014\u2014 people think. And that f\u2014\u2013 Biden, he is so stupid. I am going to kick his f\u2014\u2014 ass in this election.\u201d Well, it turned out Trump was no prophet.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>My book, Bible Predicts Trump Fall<\/em><\/a>, is a collection of 200 articles with an average length of two-three pages. I wrote them about Donald Trump as posts on my Kermit Zarley Blog from the time he began his campaign for the U.S. presidency, in mid-2015, to shortly after he vacated the White House on January 20, 2021. In these posts I often quoted the Bible, especially its wisdom literature in the book of Proverbs and Jesus\u2019 sayings. And I sometimes compared them to things Trump said. The contrast often was striking. The main biblical quote was this, \u201cPride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall\u201d (Proverbs 16:18). I said multiple times on my blog that Donald Trump was the most arrogant person and biggest liar I had ever seen.<\/p>\n

The Bible\u2019s book of Proverbs begins, \u201cThe proverbs of Solomon, son of David, king of Israel\u201d (Proverbs 1:1). The Bible says, \u201cKing Solomon excelled all the kings of the earth in riches and wisdom. The whole earth sought the presence of Solomon to hear his wisdom, which God had put into his mind\u201d (1 Kings 10:23).<\/p>\n

Regarding Trump\u2019s above statement about rejecting the advice of others and doing things \u201cmy way,\u201d Proverbs says, \u201cin the abundance of counselors, there is victory\u201d (Proverbs 24:6). Another is, \u201cFools think their own way is right, but the wise listen to advice. Fools show their anger at once, but the prudent ignore an insult\u201d (Proverbs 12:15-16). And Proverbs further states, \u201cThere is a way that seems right to a person, but its end is the way of death\u201d (Proverbs 14:12).<\/p>\n

I was seeing this immediately about Donald Trump during his first presidential campaign. Thus, I posted on my blog on May 20, 2016, \u201cI think Donald Trump is a big bag of hot air ready to blow up like the Hindenburg blimp if he becomes U.S. president.\u201d A few days after that, on June 1, 2016, I again blogged concerning Trump, \u201cI think he\u2019ll bring America down, not Make America Great Again.\u201d Then, on June 12, 2016, I posted, \u201cThe arrogant, egotistical Donald Trump, \u2026 is constantly trumpeting his own self. Biblical wisdom says, \u2018Let another praise you, and not your own mouth\u2019 (Proverbs 27.2). It also says, \u2018When pride comes, then comes disgrace\u2019 (Proverbs 11.2).\u201d<\/p>\n

Later, on July 21, 2018, about 1.5 years into Trump\u2019s presidency, I blogged saying there will be a Trumpgate and further said, \u201cI think Trumpgate will make Watergate look like a Sunday school picnic.\u201d Over three years now after Trump exited the White House, that is still happening.
