$\"\"$ <\/a>President Donald Trump was interviewed by the \u201cshut and dribble\u201d woman Laura Ingraham on Fox News in Normandy, France, last week. It was during the celebration of the 75th anniversary of D-Day in WWII with international dignitaries. Trump made disparaging remarks about Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Trump has been highly criticized for doing it while out of the country, which is against U.S. norms for its politicians. But it was made so much worse since the interview was conducted in front of a mass graveyard of American soldiers, which is considered sacred ground.<\/p>\n

Chris Christie, former Governor of New Jersey and close friend of Trump, blamed press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders for arranging the interview. That\u2019s about like a pro golfer blaming his caddie for the bad shot or misjudgment he made. Heh, pro golf is just like President Harry Truman said, \u201cThe buck stops here,\u201d meaning with the pro.<\/p>\n

So, the bottom line is that President Trump accepted the interview. If it was a stupid idea, then he\u2019s the main one who is stupid, here.<\/p>\n

What did Trump say to Ingraham while we could see all the mass of graves of American soldiers in the background, when over 4,000 of them died that day at Normandy?<\/p>\n

Trump said of Pelosi, \u201cI think she\u2019s a disgrace. I actually don\u2019t think she\u2019s a talented person. I\u2019ve tried to be nice to her because I would have liked to have gotten some deals done. She\u2019s incapable of doing deals. She\u2019s a terrible person and I\u2019ll tell you, her name, it\u2019s Nervous Nancy because she\u2019s nervous wreck.\u201d<\/p>\n

Some people, especially Republicans, allege that what Trump said of Pelosi was justified. That\u2019s because she supposedly said of Trump at a private gathering of Democratic members of Congress days earlier in the U.S., \u201cI don\u2019t want to see him impeached; I want him to him in prison.\u201d That\u2019s just a report, so we don\u2019t know for certain she said it. Plus, even if she said it, that\u2019s a lot different than saying it in public. Moreover, an increasing number of her colleagues are calling for Trump\u2019s impeachment. Pelosi is trying to hold off doing that. She obviously said that as a strategy to hold them back.<\/p>\n

At this point, nearly half of Americans are calling for Trump\u2019s impeachment. But the Senate has a Republican majority. The House might be able to impeach Trump now, but it certainly would fail in the Senate since 67 members would have vote for his impeachment, and that surely is not going to happen any time soon. Pelosi wants no impeachment now and for Trump to lose the election. If that happens, he very likely will see jail time since there are so many criminal investigations of him that he will then have to face. For now, the sitting president cannot be charged with a crime according to the Justice Department\u2019s Office of Legal Council guidelines.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
