\"\"<\/a>Republican Mitch McConnell, the U.S. Senate Majority Leader, told reporters at a media conference yesterday regarding America\u2019s history of slavery, \u201cI don\u2019t think reparations for something that happened 150 years ago, for whom none of us currently living are responsible, is a good idea.\u201d McConnell gave three reasons for his assertion: civil war, civil rights legislation, and the election of a black as president\u2013Barak Obama.\u00a0Baloney, McConnell! That 150 years just shows how far overdue reparations is. I\u2019ll give you an example that is not popular during our time.<\/p>\n

Jews are most responsible for Jesus being condemned and crucified. The Bible\u2019s book of Acts tells of it. See my post on this entitled, \u201cJews Must Repent for Jesus to Return<\/a>.\u201d Better yet, read chapters Two (\u201cJerusalem, Repent\u201d) and Three (\u201cThe Remnant\u201d) in my book Warrior from Heaven<\/a>,\u00a0<\/em>which is about the Second Coming of Christ.<\/p>\n

Yet Jesus had said, \u201cSalvation is from the Jews\u201d (John 4.22 NRSV). He didn\u2019t mean only personal salvation, but also the salvation of this world. When Jews substantially repent about their forefathers\u2019 involvement in the death of Jesus, then Jesus will return and deliver not only penitent Jews from total annihilation but save the actual universe, including this planet, from utter destruction. Read about this in \u201cChapter Fourteen: Cosmology\u201d in Warrior from Heaven<\/em>.<\/p>\n

The Bible contains many prophecies about a significant remnant of Jews repenting about their forefathers\u2019 culpability in the death of Jesus. Or just read Daniel 9, in which the Judean exile Daniel gives a lengthy prayer of contrition on behalf of his forefathers who had sinned and brought God\u2019s judgment upon them by making many of them slaves in Babylonia. Daniel says in this prayer to God, \u201cAll Israel has transgressed your law and turned aside, refusing to obey your voice. So the curse and the oath written in the law of Moses, the servant of God, have been poured out upon us, because we have sinned against you\u201d (Daniel 9.11)<\/p>\n

Mr. McConnell, do you see that Daniel said, \u201cwe have sinned against you.\u201d Daniel included himself even though he was a young man of perhaps no more than twenty years of age when he and the other Judeans were taken captive. What Daniel must mean primarily is that he is guilty on the basis of his genetic connection to the Jewish leaders who misled the nation. The same is true of Jews throughout history regarding their genetic connection to their forefathers during the time of Jesus.<\/p>\n

Some may argue with me, asserting that only members of the Jewish Sanhedrin (council) were blameworthy. Wrong! Much of the seventy members of the Sanhedrin included \u201cthe elders.\u201d Elders were the representatives of the people, the heads of prominent families in the community. Thus, all Israel was guilty just as Daniel prays \u201call Israel.\u201d Plus, the entire crowd in attendance before Governor Pilate was calling for Jesus\u2019 crucifixion even though Pilate want to free Jesus, finding no guilt in him (Matt. 27.22-23; Mark 15.12-14; Luke 23.20-23; John 19.15). The crowd had been stirred up, but that does not let them off. For we read, \u201cthe chief priests and the elders persuaded the multitudes to ask for Barabbas, and to put Jesus to death\u201d (Matt. 27.20 NASB; cf. Mark 15.11). Barabbas was an infamous, imprisoned murderer (Luke 23.18-19). Pilate was further pressured by crowd \u201cthat a riot was starting\u201d (Matt. 27.24). The Roman authorities would have held Pilate responsible for a riot.<\/p>\n

Daniel also mentions \u201cour sins, and the iniquities of our ancestors\u201d (v. 16). When Daniel finishes recording this prayer, he then writes, \u201cWhile I was speaking, and was praying and confessing my sin and the sin of my people Israel, . . . the man Gabriel, whom I had seen before in a vision, came to me in swift flight\u201d (vv. 20-21). This Gabriel is an archangel (Luke 1.26).<\/p>\n

Mitch McConnell of Kentucky has made multiple remarks during his senatorial career showing that he is a racist against blacks. I know this racism first-hand. I lived in the South for almost forty years.<\/p>\n

The USA needs to provide financial restitution to blacks and thereby demonstrate its contrition for forcefully enslaving them in order to bring financial prosperity to this country. Germany is still paying reparations to Jews for the Holocaust, and we haven\u2019t even begun to do that with blacks 150 years later or more. Slavery is the one, great, big, black mark against the USA in its history, and we need to do something about it Mr. McConnell.<\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
