The Spirit of the Lord God is upon me,<\/div>\n
because the Lord has anointed me\u00a0<\/div>\n
to bring good news to the poor;<\/div>\n
he has sent me to bind up the brokenhearted,<\/div>\n
to proclaim liberty to the captives,<\/div>\n
and the opening of the prison to those who are bound;<\/div>\n
to proclaim the year of the Lord\u2019s favor<\/div>\n
and the day of vengeance of our God;<\/div>\n
to comfort all who mourn.<\/div>\n
To grant to those who mourn in Zion \u2013\u00a0<\/div>\n
to give them a beautiful headdress instead of ashes,<\/div>\n
the oil of gladness instead of mourning;<\/div>\n
the garment of praise instead of a spirit of despair,\u00a0<\/div>\n
that they may be called oaks of righteousness,<\/div>\n
the planting of the Lord, that he may be glorified.<\/div>\n
They shall build up the ancient ruins;<\/div>\n
they shall raise up the former devastations;<\/div>\n
they shall repair cities,<\/div>\n
the devastations of many generations.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
Strangers shall stand and tend your flocks\u2019<\/div>\n
foreigners shall be your plowmen and your vinedressers,<\/div>\n
but you shall be called priests of the Lord;<\/div>\n
they shall speak of you as the ministers of our God;<\/div>\n
you shall eat the wealth of nations,<\/div>\n
and in their glory you shall boast.<\/div>\n
Instead of shame, there shall be a double portion;<\/div>\n
instead of dishonor they shall rejoice in their lot;<\/div>\n
therefore in their land they shall possess a double portions;<\/div>\n
they shall have everlasting joy.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
For I the Lord love justice;<\/div>\n
I hate robbery and iniquity;<\/div>\n
I will faithfully give them their recompense,<\/div>\n
and I will make an everlasting covenant with them.<\/div>\n
Their offspring shall be known among the nations,<\/div>\n
and their descendants in the midst of the peoples;<\/div>\n
al who see them shall acknowledge them,<\/div>\n
that they are an offspring the Lord has blessed.<\/div>\n
<\/div>\n
I will greatly rejoice in the Lord;<\/div>\n
mys soul shall exult in my God,<\/div>\n
for he has clothed me with garments of salvation;<\/div>\n
He has covered me in the robe of righteousness.<\/div>\n
as a bridegroom decks himself like a priest with a beautiful headdress,<\/div>\n
and as a brie adorns herself with jewels.<\/div>\n
For as the earth brings forth its sprouts.<\/div>\n
and as a garden causes what is sown in ti to sprout up,<\/div>\n
so the Lord God will cause righteousness and praise<\/div>\n
to sprout up before all nations.<\/div>\n
