posted<\/a> on the incredible amount of trash that exists in cyberspace. \u00a0I commented on the aggressive and negative comments people write, especially when reacting to news articles. \u00a0This morning however while reading an article on Pope Francis, I was shocked to discover that every single comment was positive. \u00a0Is Pope Francis bringing civility and light into cyberspace?<\/p>\nI was so impressed that I have copied and pasted all the comments of this news article below (without any editing). \u00a0I don\u2019t agree 100% with every comment<\/b><\/i>, especially when they compare him to Pope Benedict, but these comments do reflect a positive reaction to Pope Francis. \u00a0It\u2019s also interesting that of these posts, four individuals identify themselves as \u201cnot Catholic,\u201d one as \u201cnot Christian,\u201d one as an \u201catheist\u201d, and only one as \u201cCatholic.\u201d<\/p>\n

Not Catholic, but I really like this man. He is such a wonderful messenger to all people. Approachable, which is how every person of the church should be.<\/p>\n
i\u2019m not catholic, but i think this guy is far better PR than the last pope they had.<\/p>\n
I am not Catholic, put to me, Pope Francis is admired, and respected by most people of all faiths. God B lees Pope Francis.<\/p>\n
I REALLY like this man. He\u2019s real, He\u2019s honest and he\u2019s humble. He lives his beliefs, unlike so many who say they are messengers of God but they drive expensive cars, live in mansions and have tv shows where they ask for even MORE money from the misled people who believe them.<\/p>\n
I\u2019m absolutely *loving* this man. I\u2019m not even religious \u2013 heck, I\u2019m an atheist! But man this guy impresses me. \u00a0This is what living your faith means. *Live it* \u2013 don\u2019t force it on others. He drives himself around the Vatican in a second-hand beat up car. He turned down the luxury and wealth of the papal apartments. He wears the same, beat up old store-bought brown shoes he\u2019s always worn \u2013 not the multi-thousand dollar hand-made red slippers of his predecessor. He evicts the \u201cBishop of Bling\u201d after a 20min sit-down saying he cannot fulfill his pastoral mission in a $46 million dollar house and a $20,000 bathtub. He not only talks to the people many \u201creligious\u201d people condemn \u2013 he offers the observation that Christ loves *everyone* so who is he to deny them? When you have faith that solid \u2013 to love those others condemn \u2013 then surely his God is with him.<\/p>\n
I respect this pope, I\u2019m not a Christian. Looks like he understands the reality of this world, not just the vatican. He is bringing major changes and hope he continues like that, the world will love him.
What a wonderful thing: a man at ease with himself, who is simply enjoying himself, celebrating life, with the people around him.<\/p>\n
Can he unite the church? Maybe. Can he fill the church? Absolutely. You do not need to be a brain surgeon to figure out where and in how many ways the catholic church has alienated it\u2019s followers, but Pope Francis will single handedly turn the faith around and bring back followers who have left the faith and add new followers to it\u2019s ranks. Bravo!! He is the epitome of what a priest should be, approachable, humble, genuine and sincere. I may go back to church.<\/p>\n
I am not Catholic, but man does this guy \u201cget it \u201d if you believe in what we are supposed to learn from the teachings of the Bible ! Not those TV evangelists with their mega churches, jets, mansions and car collections !<\/p>\n
