\u201cAs pastors in Georgia, we so often see the destructive effects of the broken immigration system in the eyes of children separated from their parents, in the dashed hopes of workers trying to support their families, and in the dulled enthusiasm of young people who could contribute so much if educational opportunities were available to them.<\/p>\n

We support principled reforms which include:<\/p>\n

1. A path to citizenship for the undocumented that is achievable.<\/p>\n

2. A system that protects the integrity of families.<\/p>\n

3. A program that allows low-skilled migrant workers to enter and work in the IUnited States legally and safely.<\/p>\n

We support these principles because they will benefit the common good of the people of Georgia and because they reflect the Gospel which teaches our responsibility to feed the hungry, to give drink to the thirsty, to clothe the naked, and to welcome the stranger.\u201d<\/p>\n
