I came across this book by Allen Hunt while I visited a priest\u2019s rectory last weekend to cover his Masses while he was gone. I knew very little of Allen Hunt, but had heard him speak several times on a local radio station in Warner Robins. I knew he was a convert to Catholicism and had been a guest speaker once at the Annual Atlanta Eucharistic Congress.<\/p>\n

I picked up the book and read the introduction. I was hooked. That same evening after the Saturday Vigil Mass I read the whole book in one sitting. It helped that it\u2019s only 140 pages with larger than average print.<\/div>\n

Allen tells his journey from pastor of one of the largest Methodist churches in the country (in Marietta) to the Catholic Church. He uses the compelling image of an old house to describe the Church. He describes how he discovers amazing treasures hidden within this old house he had never noticed before, forcing him to change his views towards what he had considered an old and perhaps irrelevant house. This book will help anyone rediscover his or her faith, especially those who view the Catholic Church as an old uninteresting house that has nothing to offer. <\/div>\n
