And they dwelt three years.
There was not war between ?Aram and between Yisrael.
And it was in the third year
And came down Yehoshafat king of Yehudah to king of Yisrael.
And said the king of Yisrael to his servants,
?Do you know that to us is Ramoth-gile?ad?
And we ourselves being silent
From taking her from the hand of the king of ?Aram.?E
And he said to Yehoshafat,
?Will you walk with me to battle Ramoth-gile?ad??E
And said Yehoshafat to the king of Yisrael,
?Just like me, just like you.
As my people, as your people.
As my horses, as your horses.?E
And said Yehoshafat to the king of Yisrael,
?Consult, please, according to the day
The word of Yahweh.?E
And gathered the king of Yisrael the prophets according to 400 men,
And he said to them,
?Shall I walk\/go against Ramoth-gile?ad to battle
Or shall I stop??E
And they said,
?Ascend! And Adonai will give in the hand the king.?E <\/p>\n
And said Yehoshafat,
?Is there not here a prophet to Yahweh still
And we shall consult with him??E
And said the king of Yisrael to Yehoshafat,
?Still a man, one, to consult Yahweh from him.
But I myself hate him
For he does not prophesy on me good but instead evil:
Miycayehu, the son of Yimlah.?E
And said Yehoshafat,
?Let not the king say thus.?E
And called the king of Yisrael to one eunuch and he said,
?Hurry Miycayehu son of Yimlah.?E <\/p>\n
Now the king of Yisrael and Yehoshafat king of Yehudah
Sitting each on his throne, clothed in robes
In the threshing floor of the opening of the gate of Shomron.
And all the prophets prophesying before them.
And made for himself Tzidqiyyah son of Kena?anah horns of bronze
And he said,
?Thus says Yahweh:
In these you gore Aram until their finishing.?E
Now all the prophets prophesying thus, saying,
?Ascend to Ramoth-gile?ad enjoy success.
For Yahweh will give in the hand of the king.?E <\/p>\n
Now the messenger which walked\/sent to call Miycayehu spoke to him, saying,
?Behold, please.
The words of the prophets [are] one mouth good to the king.
Please, let your words [be] according to the one word from them.
And you speak good.?E
And said Miycayehu,
?Life of Yahweh!
For that which says Yahweh to me
That I will speak.?E
And he entered to the king
And said the king to him,
?Miycayehu!
Shall we walk\/go to Ramoth-gile?ad to battle
Or shall we stop??E
And he said to him,
?Ascent, and enjoy success.
And Yahweh will give in the hand the king.?E
And said to him the king,
?Until how man times I myself cause-you-to-swear
Which you do not speak to me only truth in the name of Yahweh??E
And he said,
?I saw all Yisral
Smashed to the mountains like sheep
Which there is not for them a shepherd.
And said Yahweh,
?No Masters to these.
Let them return, each to his house, in peace.??
And said the king of Yisrael to Yehoshafat,
?Said I not to you,
He will not prophesy concerning me good but only evil??E
And he said,
?Therefore hear the word of Yahweh:
I saw Yahweh sitting on his throne
And all the hosts of the heavens standing around him
From his right hand and from his left hand.
And said Yahweh,
?Who will seduce Achav
And he ascends and falls at Ramoth-gilead??E
And this said according to thus and this said according to this.
And came forward the Spirit and he stood before Yahweh and said,
?I myself will seduce him.?E
And said Yahweh to him,
?How??E
And he said,
?I will got forth and I will be a spirit of trickery
In the mouth of all his prophets.?E
And he said,
?Entice and also be-capable.
Go forth and do thus.?E
But now see here!
Yahweh gave a spirit of trickery in the mouth of all these your prophets.
Now Yahweh spoke against you evil.?E
And came near Tzidqiyyahu son of Kena?anah
And he struck Miycayehu on the chin and said,
?Where is this?
Passed-over the Spirit of Yahweh from me to speak with you??E
And said Miycayehu,
?See here, you!
You see in that day which you enter
Dark room into dark room to hide yourself.?E
And said the king of Yisrael
?Take Miycayehu
And cause him to return to ?Amon the chief of the city
And to Yo?ash son of the king.
And you say,
?Thus says the king.
Set this the house of the confinement
And cause him to eat bread of affliction
And water of affliction
Until I enter in peace.??
And said Miycayehu,
?If returning you return in peace,
Yahweh has not spoke by me.?E
And he said,
?Hear, peoples, all of them.?E <\/p>\n
And ascended king of Yisrael and Yehoshafat king of Yehudah to Ramoth-gile?ad.
And said king of Yisrael to Yehoshafat,
?I will disguise myself
And enter into the battle.
But you, yourself, cloth [yourself] in your robes.?E
And disguised himself king of Yisrael and he entered into the battle. <\/p>\n
Now king of ?Aram commanded the chiefs of the chariots
Which were to him thirty and six, saying,
?Fight not small and great
But only king of Yisrael alone.?E
And it was according to the seeing of the chiefs of the chariots Yehoshafat
And they themselves said,
?Surely king of Yisrael [is] he!?E
And they turned aside against him to fight.
And cried out Yehoshafat.
And it was according to the seeing of the chiefs of the chariots
That not king of Yisrael [was] he.
And they returned from after him. <\/p>\n
Now a man extended in his bow at random
And he struck king of Yisrael between the clinging-pieces and the scale-armor.
And he said to his chariot-driver
?Turn your hand,
And take me forth from the camp
For I am have become ill.?E
And ascended the battle on that day
And the king was standing in his chariot opposite Aram
And he died in the evening.
And poured out blood of the stroke to the outer wall of the chariot.
And passed over the lamentation in the army
According to the going of the sun, saying,
?Each to his city!
And each to his land!?E
And died the king
And he entered Shomron
And they buried the king in Shomron.
And they washed the chariot on the pool of Shomron
And licked the dogs his blood
\u2014now harlots bathe ?E
according to the word of Yahweh which he spoke. <\/p>\n
Not the remnant of the words\/deeds of Achav
And all which he did
And the house of tooth which he built
And all the cities which he built
Are they not written-things in the scrolls of the words of the days to the kings of Yisrael.
