God\u2019s fiery presence descends from Sinai and no one can enter tabernacle. It happens again when the temple is finished.<\/p>\n

But when the Spirit falls, the disciples stand in the fiery presence and are not consumed. They have become asbestos. They are Daniel\u2019s three friends in the furnace; burning bushes.<\/p>\n

Jesus has burning eyes (Revelation 1:14), which are the Spirits of God. To stand safely in the fire of the Spirit is to be able to stand under the flashing gaze of the Son of God.<\/p>\n
