perhaps helpful translation. <\/p>\n<p> And Shlomoh became son-in-law to Pharaoh king of Mizrayim. <br> And he took the daughter of Pharaoh <br> And caused her to enter (brought her) to the city of David <br> Until his finishing to build <br> His house <br> And the house of Yahweh <br> And the wall of Jerusalem around. <br> Only the people (were) sacrificing on the high places <br> For not built <br> was the house to the name of Yahweh until those days. <br> And Shlomoh loved Yahweh to walk in the ordinances of David his father <br> Only on high places he (was) sacrificing and turning to smoke. <\/p>\n<p> And walked\/went the king to Gibeon to sacrifice there <br> For it (was) the great high place <br> A thousand ascensions Shlomoh caused to ascend on that sacrifice-site (altar). <\/p>\n<p> In Gibeon Yahweh was seen (appeared) to Shlomoh in a dream of the night. <\/p>\n<p> And said Elohim, <br> ?Ask what I shall give to you.?E <\/p>\n<p> And said Shlomoh, <br> ?You yourself did with your servant David my father great lovingkindness <br> Just as he walked before you <br> In truth <br> And in righteousness <br> And in uprightness of heart with you <br> And you have guarded for him this great lovingkindness <br> And you gave to him a son to sit on his throne <br> According to this day. <\/p>\n<p> ?But now, Yahweh my God, <br> You yourself have caused to rule as king your servant in the place of David my father <br> And I myself (am) a little boy <br> I do not know to go out and to enter. <br> But your servant (is) in the midst of this people <br> Which you chose, <br> A people <br> numerous <br> Which are not open to counting <br> And are not recorded\/numbered <br> From numerousness. <br> ?Now give to your servant a heart of hearing <br> To judge <br> your people <br> To be able to discern distinctions between good to evil <br> For who is able to judge <br> this your heavy people.?E <\/p>\n<p> And good was the word in the eyes of the Master <br> For asked Shlomoh this thing\/word. <br> And said Elohim to him, <br> ?Because you asked this word\/thing <br> And you did not ask for yourself numerous days <br> And you did not ask for yourself riches <br> And you did not ask the soul of your enemies <br> But you did ask for yourself discernment to hear justice. <br> Behold I have done according to your word\/thing. <\/p>\n<p> ?Behold, I have given to you a hear of wisdom and discernment <br> Which just like you <br> There shall not be <br> Before you <br> And after you <br> There shall not arise <br> Just like you. <\/p>\n<p> ?And also what you did not ask I give to you <br> also riches <br> also glory. <br> There shall not be just like you a man among kings all your days. <br> And if you <br> walk in my ways <br> to guard my ordinances and my commandments <br> just as David your father walked <br> Then I will cause to lengthen your days.?E <\/p>\n<p> And awakened Shlomoh <br> And behold a dream. <\/p>\n<p> And he entered Jerusalem <br> And he stood before the ark of the covenant of the Master <br> And he caused ascensions to ascend <br> And he made peace offerings <br> And he made a wine-feast for all his servants. <\/p>\n<p> Then entered two women, prostitutes, to the king <br> And they stood before him. <br> And said the one woman <br> ?With your permission, my master: <br> I and this woman live in one house <br> And I bore a child with her in the house. <br> And it was on the third day to my bearing a child <br> And also this woman bore a child <br> But we ourselves together <br> There was not a stranger with us in the house <br> Except the two of us in the house. <\/p>\n<p> ?And died the son of this woman at night which she lay on him. <br> And she arose in the midst of the night <br> And she took the son from beside me <br> But your maidservant (was) sleeping <br> And she made him lie down in her bosom <br> And her son, the dead one, she made to lie in my bosom. <br> And I arose in the morning to suckle my son <br> And behold he was dead. <br> And I looked discerningly at him in the morning <br> And behold it was not my son that I bore.?E <\/p>\n<p> And said the other woman, <br> ?No. <br> For my son <br> the living <br> And your son <br> the dead.?E <br> And this one said, <br> ?No. <br> For your son <br> The dead <br> And my son <br> The living.?E <br> And they spoke before the king. <br> And said the king, <br> ?This says ?This my son the living one <br> and your son the dead.?E <br> And this says, ?No. For your son the dead <br> And my son the living.?? <\/p>\n<p> And said the king, <br> ?Take for me a sword.?E <br> And they brought a sword before the king. <\/p>\n<p> And said the king <br> ?Cut the living child into two <br> And give the half to the one <br> And half to the one.?E <\/p>\n<p> And said the woman which her son (whose son) the living to the king, <br> For her womb was agitated concerning her son <br> And she said, <br> ?With your permission, Master. <br> Give to her the living baby <br> And dying do not cause him to die.?E <br> But this said, <br> ?Neither to me nor to you shall he be. <br> Cut.?E <\/p>\n<p> And answered the king <br> And said, <br> ?Give to her the living baby. <br> And dying do not cause him to die. <br> This his mother.?E <\/p>\n<p> And heard all Israel the justice which the king judged <br> And they feared from the face of the king
