Today, we commemorate International Women\u2019s Day. The Vatican is part of this event with a special event called \u201cVoices of Faith<\/a>\u201c. Vatican Radio<\/a> describes this one of a kind gathering:<\/p>\n

The second annual Voices of Faith storytelling event takes place in\u00a0 the Vatican Sunday, as women from ten countries and four\u00a0 continents gather in the Casina Pio IV to celebrate International Women\u2019s Day.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n

The initiative was launched last year by Catholic philanthropist Chantal Goetz \u201cto enhance the dignity, participation and leadership of women and girls through persistent and good storytelling.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n

Voices of Faith<\/a>\u00a0is jointly supported by the\u00a0Fidel Goetz Foundation<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Caritas Internationalis<\/a>.\u00a0 Two projects that highlight women in leadership roles and whose work benefits women and their communities have been selected to receive the \u201cWomen: Sowers of Development\u201d Prize to be awarded at the event on Sunday.<\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
