It\u2019s a bright sunny day in Seattle, and it\u2019ll be a bright sunny evening in the theater, as I head out to feast my eyes on Danny Boyle\u2019s Sunshine<\/em> for the first time. I\u2019ve heard all kinds of things \u2014 severe disappointment (from a trustworthy friend), mixed feelings (from a trustworthy friend), and \u201cBest Movie of the Year\u201d (from a trustworthy friend). Thus\u2026 I\u2019m intrigued.<\/p>\n

Speaking of movies that are sure to divide viewers into enthusiasts and nay-sayers\u2026<\/p>\n

David Lynch\u2019s Inland Empire <\/em>is coming out on DVD, and so it\u2019s time to read Jonathan Rosenbaum<\/a>\u2018s review, and this recent interview<\/a> with David Lynch by Sean Axmaker.<\/p>\n

And by the way, you can pre-order<\/a> the Twin Peaks<\/em> DVD boxed set now. It\u2019ll be out on Halloween. Ten discs for $70 bucks, and that includes the pilot, the whole series, and some interesting extras (but no Fire Walk With Me<\/em>.)<\/p>\n

I just discovered Geoffrey Chaucer\u2019s blog<\/a>. It makes my head hurt.<\/p>\n
