It\u2019s a new day at LookingCloser.org\u2026 <\/p>\n

I\u2019ve just returned from The Glen Workshop<\/a>, my favorite week of the year: A seven day celebration of the arts hosted by Image<\/a> journal in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Readings, concerts, lectures, art exhibits, meals, conversations, parties, excursions, exercise, sunshine, lightning storms, wildlife, worship, and inspiration\u2026 it\u2019s all more than good.<\/p>\n

This is my sixth Glen Workshop in a row, and I plan to make it a lifelong tradition. I\u2019ve told many of you that you\u2019ll be similarly enthusiastic if you try it just once\u2026 and this year I started hearing friends tell me that I was absolutely right. So plan on joining us next year, at either Glen West (Santa Fe in August), or Glen East (Massachusetts in June).<\/p>\n

Now that I\u2019m back \u2013 inspired, rejuvenated, excited \u2013 it\u2019s time to get back to work.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll be revising The Ale Boy\u2019s Feast<\/a><\/strong><\/em> this month, readying it for publication in March 2011. Yes, the conclusion of The Auralia Thread is almost ready for readers.<\/p>\n

I\u2019ll keep on keepin\u2019 on at Facebook<\/a>, Twitter<\/a>, Tumblr<\/a>, etc.<\/p>\n

I\u2019m also hoping to get back to regular blogging here. And I\u2019m going to be trying something different.<\/p>\n

Let\u2019s talk about the Comments section.<\/p>\n

Comments have always been a challenge for me. Many of you offer thoughtful, helpful comments. But I\u2019m constantly buried by spam messages. And there are a lot of other messages too \u2014 some that seem calculated to stir up trouble or take us off-topic.<\/p>\n

So I\u2019m going to start limiting my comment approvals to those that are especially thoughtful, gracious, appropriate, and on-topic. And I may pull some aside and reply to them in a separate post entirely.<\/p>\n

But keep this in mind: If you\u2019re going to comment, and if you want your comment to appear on the blog\u2026 make it worth our time. Stick to the topic. And show respect.<\/p>\n

Also: You\u2019re always invited to post notes on my Facebook page.<\/a> Chatting is easier there, and there seem to be many more people paying attention there than here. Just go there and click \u201cLIKE\u201d, and you\u2019ll get my Facebook updates in your news feed.<\/p>\n
