In preparation for my first real trip to New York<\/a>, I had a conversation with Christy Tennant<\/a>, host of IAM Conversations for the International Arts Movement.<\/p>\n

Christy started off by going right for the sore spot: What do I think of the Oscar nominations? So\u2026<\/p>\n

I answered by raving about one of my favorite films that went overlooked by the Academy.<\/p>\n

But we also talked about Auralia\u2019s Colors, Cyndere\u2019s Midnight,<\/em> and the new book, Raven\u2019s Ladder.<\/em> We talked about art, and how the prevalent \u201cChristian understanding of art\u201d is seriously screwed up. And we talked about a lot more than that.<\/p>\n

Much of our conversation focuses on my \u201cmemoir of dangerous moviegoing\u201d: Through a Screen Darkly<\/em>.<\/a><\/p>\n

I\u2019m grateful for Christy\u2019s thoughtful questions and for the warm welcome she gave me. I\u2019m looking forward to meeting her in person.<\/p>\n
