Robert Zemeckis took us back in time with Marty McFly and again with Forrest Gump.<\/p>\n

This time around, he might as well recycle a famous Back to the Future<\/em> quote: \u201cRoads? Where we\u2019re going, we don\u2019t need<\/em> roads.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zemeckis plans to take us back to the top of the New York City\u2019s\u00a0World Trade Center, to walk with Philippe Petit (played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt) between the Twin Towers.<\/p>\n<\/iframe>\nI am not going to let my hopes for this movie soar. Zemeckis\u2019s work usually leaves me with mixed feelings. (His last film, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/lookingcloser\/2012\/11\/flight-2012\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">Flight<\/em><\/a>, didn\u2019t work for me.) The story has already been told in an unforgettable, inspiring, nerve-wracking documentary called Man on Wire<\/em>.<\/p>\nBut I\u2019m happy to have another opportunity to share my personal favorite review from my long run of writing about movies. Here are my reflections on\u00a0Man on Wire:\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.patheos.com\/blogs\/lookingcloser\/2008\/11\/man-on-wire-2008\/\" class=\" decorated-link\" target=\"_blank\">\u201cThe Wedding and the High Wire Act.\u201d<\/a><\/p>\n<\/body><\/html>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Robert Zemeckis took us back in time with Marty McFly and again with Forrest Gump.
