I\u2019ll have more to say later\u2014a lot more\u2014about the candidates and narratives of this year\u2019s election, but I wanted to take a moment to post an open thread for discussion of both conventions. I should have opened this thread last week\u2014or perhaps a dedicated thread for the Republican Party convention\u2014but better late than never.<\/p>\n

Note: I know that there is ongoing\u00a0disagreement over the Democratic candidates and that there are likely heightened concerns\u00a0in the wake of the DNC email leaks.\u00a0With that in mind\u00a0I would ask those who comment on this thread to be especially careful to abide by my comment policy. <\/em><\/p>\n
