Why would evangelicals value an endorsement by Donald Trump over an endorsement from Mike Pence? Mike Pence is the one who is actually consistently evangelical and conservative. He has never waffled on things like abortion rights or LGBT rights. The inclusion of Barack Obama in the list is curious\u2014though it\u2019s worth noting that while 33% of evangelicals said an endorsement from Obama would make them more likely to trust a politician, 49% of evangelicals also said it would make them less likely to trust that politician.<\/p>\n
