I\u2019ve always found evangelicals\u2019 insistence on obedience to laws a bit curious. After all, laws are not always good! There are bad laws\u2014including laws that should be broken. It\u2019s also odd that a group that is so insistent on the claim that it\u2019s being persecuted\u2014the\u00a0most\u00a0<\/em>persecuted\u2014would be simultaneously so insistent on obedience to laws.<\/p>\n

This isn\u2019t just an evangelical thing, of course. It\u2019s a conservatives thing. It\u2019s why Trump tweets \u201cLAW AND ORDER\u201d every so often. You see it in a lot of places.\u00a0Here\u2019s an example of this phenomenon, by Fox News contributor Andrew Lawrence:<\/p>\n
