Similar events have taken place at colleges all across America but this one at an Ivy League school, no less, takes the cake.

A faculty director hosted the event and cleared the space of any television screens. Students were invited to be distracted from the news with coloring, crafts, snacks, and a small petting zoo. Daniel Tancredi spoke to The College Fix and gave them a glimpse from inside the event:

“There were actual cats and a puppy there. There were sheets of paper available with black and white printed designs on them for students to color in. Essentially they looked like pages from a coloring book that were printed from a computer. They all had positive, feel-good messages on them. Students colored them in with colored pencils.

“For the most part, students just hung out and ate snacks and made small talk. Of course, that was in addition to coloring and playing with the animals. The election was mentioned a few times, though mostly in very timid and fearful tones. The event as a whole seemed to be an escape from the reality of the election results.”

If that isn’t pathetic enough, Tancredi said some Penn professors turned their classrooms into “safe spaces” and even canceled lessons and exams to further coddle the snowflakes. She was shocked during her first quarter in school when students entered the Bruin Cafe to see the phrase “Hitler did nothing wrong” etched into a table. She went to the conference hoping for some answers.

But on the first day there, she was horrified when the discussion became an attack on Israel — and soon devolved into attacks on the Jews.

“Over the course of what was probably no longer than an hour, my history was denied, the murder of my people was justified, and a movement whose sole purpose is the destruction of the Jewish homeland was glorified. Two, most, if not all, of the students that needed the emotional comfort DIDN’T EVEN ATTEND THE SPEECH!

The mere presence of Ben Shapiro on Cal State’s campus was enough to send these special snowflakes into a frenzied meltdown. National Review posted a description of the “safe space” event:

On February 25th, our campus experienced immense hurt and trauma.
