It seems like just a few days ago that people were calling for more political unity and less partisan strife after a\u00a0Bernie Sanders supporter shot Republican Congressman Steve Scalise<\/span> and two black members of his security detail. \u00a0Oh, I guess that was<\/em> just a few days ago, but for some there\u2019s no wrong time to call\u00a0for the death of white people. \u00a0One such person is a Connecticut man named Johnny Eric Williams, an associate professor of <\/a>sociology<\/a>\u00a0employed by Trinity College in Hartford. \u00a0On Sunday, he posted an article on his Facebook page with this headline:\u00a0\u201cLet Them F*cking<\/span> Die.\u201d
\n<\/p>\n

The article led to an anonymous post on Medium. \u00a0Breitbart<\/span><\/em><\/a> reported that the article<\/p>\n

\u2026 argued that the first responders\u00a0 responders to the congressional shooting should have let Representative Scalise<\/span> and others die. The inflammatory post calls on minorities to refuse assistance to whites in potentially fatal situations, like choking, bleeding out, or drowning. The post then calls for those persons to not only watch as others die but to \u201csmile\u201d as they watch, for letting them die is a \u201cgreat service\u201d to the \u201cuniverse.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Sheesh<\/span>. \u00a0Maybe the professor didn\u2019t click through to read the piece, right? \u00a0Maybe we should give him the benefit of the doubt. \u00a0No, wait. \u00a0Scratch that. \u00a0He\u00a0added some commentary of his own.\u00a0 \u201cIt is past time for the racially oppressed to do what people who believe themselves to be \u2018white\u2019 will not do,\u201d he wrote. \u00a0\u201cPut [sic<\/em>] end to the vectors of their destructive mythology of whiteness and their white supremacy system. #LetThemFuckingDie.\u201d \u00a0Less than ten minutes later, he added, \u201cI\u2019m fed the f*ck up with self identified \u2018white\u2019s\u2019 [sic<\/em>] daily violence directed at immigrants, Muslim, and sexual and racially oppressed people. The time is now to confront these inhuman a**holes and end this now.\u201d<\/p>\n

Wow. \u00a0In other words, he\u2019s calling for a confrontation that could \u201cend this now\u201d and perhaps result in a decision to #LetThemFuckingDie.\u201d \u00a0 If he had advocated for the death of black people, how quickly would he have lost his job?<\/p>\n

People like this should NOT be teaching in our country.\u00a0 Period. \u00a0Your move, Trinity College.<\/span><\/p>\n
