Sadly, it appears that the laws to prevent the TX slaughter were in place, but the correct procedures were not followed by the Air Force.\u00a0 The\u00a0Washington Post<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>reports:<\/em><\/p>\n The Air Force says it failed to follow policies for alerting federal law enforcement about Devin P. Kelley\u2019s violent past, enabling the former service member,\u00a0who killed at least 26 churchgoers<\/a>\u00a0Sunday in Sutherland Springs, Tex., to obtain\u00a0firearms before the shooting rampage.<\/p>\n Kelley\u00a0should have been\u00a0barred from purchasing firearms and body armor\u00a0because of his domestic violence conviction in 2014 while serving at Holloman Air Force Base in New Mexico.\u00a0Kelley\u00a0was sentenced to a year in prison and kicked out of the military with a bad conduct discharge following two counts of domestic abuse against his\u00a0wife and a child, according to Air Force spokeswoman Ann Stefanek.<\/p>\n \u201cInitial information indicates that Kelley\u2019s domestic violence offense was not entered into the National Criminal Information Center database,\u201d Stefanek said in a statement released Monday. Air Force Secretary Heather Wilson and Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein have directed an investigation of Kelley\u2019s case and \u201crelevant policies and procedures,\u201d she said.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n In other words,\u00a0the laws and regulations are in place, but the left will still call for more gun control\u2026. more laws and regulations.\u00a0 Does that make sense to anyone?\u00a0<\/span>The Pentagon already has procedures in place to\u00a0make sure certain violent offenses are reported to\u00a0the FBI, yet they weren\u2019t. Instead of calling for more gun control, perhaps it\u2019s time to take the power away from the incompetent federal government, to restrict their overbearing power-grabs.<\/p>\n Also, USA Today<\/a><\/em>\u00a0<\/a>recently complained about Texas\u2019s Concealed Carry laws, even though the shooter was DENIED a permit in Texas.\u00a0 <\/span>In other words, even though the law did exactly what it should, this leftist rag can\u2019t help but attack.\u00a0 <\/span>This does their case no good.<\/p>\n Gun control advocates must realize that\u00a0they are asking the same people who\u00a0regularly send your mail to Timbuktu to\u00a0put limits on your own personal safety.\u00a0 People should reject that too-simple and severely inadequate solution.<\/p>\n Frank Fleming tweeted it best:<\/p>\n Remember to factor into your gun control ideas that the government is completely incompetent.<\/p>\n \u2014 Frank J.
