A vicious teachers\u2019 union, thuggishly bullied school board member\u00a0Ryan Curioni after he posted an article on his personal blog\u00a0letting teachers know how they can opt out of union dues.\u00a0 He was simply providing information he would\u2019ve liked to known himself.<\/p>\n

\u00a0\u201cIf you can read this, thank a teacher,\u201d he wrote.\u00a0 \u201cIf you can\u2019t, thank a teacher\u2019s union.\u201d<\/p>\n

Well, that didn\u2019t go over too well with the teachers\u2019 union. The next day \u201call hell broke loose,\u201d according to Curioni.\u00a0 He reports that\u00a0protestors showed up to his work to criticize him, that he was attacked at a meeting, and that his tires have been slashed up to ten times by these thugs\u2026.\u00a0 All for speaking out against the union mafia.<\/p>\n

Believe it or not, the union is even asking for an official apology.\u00a0 What gall!<\/p>\n

The union, which represents 241 teachers, is seeking\u00a0a formal retraction and apology\u00a0on Curioni\u2019s blog, and that he be barred from participating in any future union negotiations. It is also seeking reimbursement from Curioni of any union dues that the association may have lost due to his blog posts.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

If I were the union, I wouldn\u2019t be holding my breath on that one.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is a free speech issue,\u201d Curioni said. \u201cIt\u2019s politically motivated. They\u2019re spoiled brats. When they don\u2019t get their own way they file frivolous counts. They throw things out there to see if they stick.\u201d<\/p>\n

It\u2019s time for teachers\u2019 unions to start caring about the children more than they care about enriching themselves.\u00a0 I, for one, believe that\u00a0Curioni is a hero for putting up with all this backlash for merely expressing his opinion.\u00a0 Check out his blog here<\/a>.\u00a0 What a wonderful citizen activist \u2014 America would be better if we had more men like this guy.<\/p>\n
