Prayer Requests

A reader writes:

Please pray for baby Eliana, born Saturday, August 4th. Eliana’s first open-heart surgery is being scheduled for Wednesday. We ask you to pray for her, for her surgeon, her family, and all engaged in her care.

Father, hear our prayer for Eliana’s complete healing, for skill, wisdom and compassion for her caregivers and for grace, peace, and strength for all who love her. Protect her from all infection and strengthen her body, soul, and spirit to heal beautifully. Mother Mary and St. Luke, pray for her. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

I just pulled a couple of boneheaded stunts and the chickens have come home to roost. I need some spiritual help to while following my Life Rule #3 (“Don’t evade responsibility, make excuses, pass blame or seek approval”).

Father, hear our prayer for mercy for your child, that he can find a way to make amends and that all would issue in life and peace for him and those around him through Jesus Christ. Mother Mary and St. Thomas More, pray for him.

And I would like to ask your prayers as well. I have just found out I majorly screwed something up and I don’t know what or if there is anything I can do to fix it. Your prayers would be deeply appreciated.
